Yesterday, 60 Minutes ran an interesting piece on the world of professional video gaming and the number one U.S. gamer, Johnathan Wendel, aka Cyber Athlete ‘Fatal1ty’. Edward Castronova, the Indiana University professor who goes on the record for every piece of industry journalism ever produced … goes on the record here too. (what. a. shock.) Isn’t it about time we elect another industry spokesperson? I mean, what if Castronova gets sick or goes into rehab? Shouldn’t we have a backup go-to guy?
