Nerfing Warcraft — Au revoir, easy, exploitable egg quest:

In order to prevent an exploit, we’ve disabled the Super Egg-O-Matic quest given by Curgle Cranklehop in Gadgetzan. We apologize greatly for this inconvenience, and plan to reactivate this NPC quest-giver in a future patch.

In case you don’t play World of Warcraft, or, if you do, in case you’ve been hiding in Ironforge or Orgrimmar for months with all your public chat disabled, damn dirty hackers were using a teleport hack to port directly to the quest eggs, several zones to the west, then porting to the turnin NPC in Gadgetzan. Rinse, repeat, and for their minimal trouble, they’re a bit richer and several levels more powerful.

Several players note that the eggs have now gone the way of the phatty lewt chests and the phatty lewt tomes, not that the eggs were a lewt faucet for the legit player … was just a nice little rinse, repeater if you happened to be passing through Feralas on your way to Gadget and rarely, you’d get some loot that was worthwhile (read: not Crap Hammer of the Whale).

Prediction: this quest won’t ever be restored (same as the other loot nerfs) and Speculation: they didn’t squash the teleport hack because they can’t.
